SUMMARY
Light Northerly Wind = Headwind in the straight and Crosswind down the hill.

Paul Cole website after the race = "Puteri nur laila had a good race at lingfield, where he [Sic] was placed 2nd."

George Baker's blog after the race = "Petite Georgia our first runner. Drawn 7 of 8. Not ideal on debut, but at least she could be kept wide of the kickback. Pat Cosgrave rode, and was pleased with her. 4th. And plenty more to come. A good beginning...."

Low level form and the Halfway positions shpw a 'Two Race' set-up with the first 4 home involved in one race between them and the last 4 some mix of too green or too duff to get involved.

Lack of quality in race meant that Bridge Night & Puteri Nur Laila were able to re-run their WDSR debut with PNL leading this time but unable to raise enough effort int he straight to hold of the willing BN. Both seem a noth below real Open Maiden level and found a soft opportunity here. BN a rare solid STO run for her trainer. Smaller and solidly built and willing attitude but perhaps likely to struggle now and into nurseries. PNL less umph than BN and is going tohave to find a weak race to win.

Reliant Robin a competent debut and not able to match the smaller fillies. Smaller type himself and below Open Maiden level and not one to follow into nurseries.

Trainer Baker seems remarkably upbeat about his horses and you wonder how realistic he is. One example is Sutton Sid and he seems very happy with Petite Georgia here. Think of it as a lower level race and she showed a bit of speed then got left behind by OR60s leaking into OR70 types. She had the disadvantage of a slow break from wid ethen running too hard to get prominent. But another smaller one that the trainer seemed to buy because she is a sibling to George Baker (x3). Not one to follow and more one to see how she develops compared to the Baker gushery as a check on his outlook.

With some smaller ones fighting out the finish the last 4 are not ones to be interested in with one exceptions. Lord Avonbrook a homebred for the Tevershams who have been providing winners for Turner forever. This one's dam and all three siblings had won by early to mid-April at 2yo. Where the hell has this one been until May 29th? Sore shins? A bigger size than the rest of the small field and looks usable winner of similar level to his siblings. Slow start from wide here then going ok on the outside downhill. Lost a lot of ground on the turn to the straight which seemed to be the A7 jockey (While) being unable to move himself to get balanced and wimping out.LA then plugged on in the straight. On circumstantials ought to be winning a minor race STO and showed just enough here to think that should be more likely than not.
