GGF from GFF 2 days Prior after 13mm of rain on Wed and 6mm on Thu. Going Stick reading from 07:00am = [Any Update nearer to the Meeting start with a dry day Forecast?]. Light to Medium NE Wind = Quarter Tailwind from the Right. Average pace at most with Cosmic Chatter able to control the race and get a comfortable lead. Whole field raced Stands Side to Centre so the 'Far Side Negative Bias' would not show up. Trainer Barron gets regular FTO wins with OR75+ types. A slow start to this season with just a couple of limited types in his early April starters who have failed to win. This his second debut after a break from May 5th and perhpas we are now into his more usable ones. Trainer bred this one having trained the dam who has produced just one OR40s 5f winner so far. Apparently still owned it on the day. A solid sprinter in review and presumably a btter type then the siblings. Shorter type but bulky and strongly built sprint type. Ok length and range to go with it. Strong finish off the pace he set and 3L clear into the last 1F. OR80+. Ian's Dream a different type being taller and less bulky. But, rangy mover and a good size. Ran well to be closing up to the winner to the line after getting well behind the pace for various reasons. Running too freely early in the raced and hauled back to the last pair then started hanging left when asked to make his effort. A very good effort in the last 1F given those problems. Not one to oppose STO and OR82+ NTO if he can put a competent race together. Similar runs by Dansili Dual & Mayaasem overall with DD pressing the pace and Mayaasem held up a bit more. Both making just ok efforts in the last 2F but unable to match the first two home. Just average efforts and OR70s types with average prospects on this unless the front of the race was much better qualirt. |
