SUMMARY
GF from GFF 2 days prior after 10mm of watering on each of Mon-Wed then 11mm on Thrsday and 1mm overnight. Going Stick from 06:30am = any later update nearer to Meeting start?. Rail out about 5yds for the entire race length which adds about 12yds to the race distance.

Light to Medium Easterly Wind = Crosswind from Left for 3.5f then a Half Headwind from the Left from the start of the turn into the Home Straight.

Slowish time and a slower time. New Pearl talked up after a comfirtable win to the point of the SP here. Seems the 'words' have got a little unhooked from reality. Trainer Brown can be notably bullish about most of his horses, of a range of abilities. He has now had 4 out of 5 non-progressive STO runs from Very Ready Debuts. Look back to the race NP won at NMKT and it has not produced a winner yet. The 2nd that day looked suspect for Open Maiden level when thrased NTO by a good horse so NP's 4.5L winning distance may have owed a lot to the opposition quality and readiness. The 3rd that day was an ordinary Godolphin runner who did not see the race out and has been beaten since. the 4th & 5th were probably the best opposition in the NMKT race but were too green or edicationalyl handled to show anywhere close to their full ability. NP not stand out in review versus IJ and unable to hold that one off despite having the advantage of a comfortable lead and his opponent hanging. No obvious excuse for NP and the debut win over-rated?

Indian Jade a solid size and strong. Made his debut in a lesser quality race but against solid types at the OR65-76 level and overcame the problem of running centre track for a comfortable win. Managed to outlast NP here despite a lot of hanging in the last 2f. Not one to follow into higher level.

Luhaif smaller type in the trio and lost 2L+ to the leading pair as the 2F out sprint began. On the upside he was making that back quite well at the finish. Perhaps better 7f and up to Open Maiden level but unlikely to be value NTO given he will be seen as 'dropping in class'. See if he is opposable int he right set-up.
