Another race in a Wet season so far that you would think would have had a different result on GF. Pace not looking like a 'War' but too strong for the softer going and headwind and the four that were within 2L of the lead through halfway all faded by inside the last 0.5F. Whcih mean the clueless one flopping around 7-8L at halfway was able to get through to win without doing anything more than plugging on at his pace. On GF going the leaders would not have stopped and he would not have been getting back to them.

Dashing David looked green in the prelims and not that fit. Does not really have a 5F pedigree and his Sales Breeze VT does not make him look 5f type. That video makes him look a bigger, bulky type who moves as a balanced, stable galloper. Leave aside the fact he won the race and just look at his alway position outpaced being scrubbed along and putting him down as a good 6f+ developer would be sensible. But he won but perhaps the conditions helped that but still solid development type. Worth also noting that despite the problems and greeness jockey Dobbs quietly kept him going and got him into the race without much drama. Put Spencer on and DD would not have won, he would have been pulled up soon after 2F out, or would have been hanging over to the far rail by halfway with Spencer wrestling an anaconda. Drama Queen, that he is.

TrinityetcCom a likeable full-on sprinter. Still mentally green in prelims and cross -nosebanded and kept on a tight hold. Compact, bulky and looks a real speed type unlike the winner. Ran more professionally in the race than his demeanour in review suggested. As on debut seting a stiff pace that put the others under pressure but then not seeing the race out and getting mugged. A warm spring or a blast on polytrack and he wouldn't be a maiden after 2 runs you would think. Appeals as type to be value to win an Open Maiden with the right conditions even at a shorter price and ought to be solidly OR75+.

Bentleyetc another solid size and build and ought to be OR75. But, seems to have become a project that needs fixing. Hauled back on first two runs and then found less than the way he travelled suggested. Excuse given STO of 'Lost Action' but blinkers here so perhaps something else. Slow start then ran too freely and looking a difficult one to get to race sensibly and fully. Faded as you expect if early. Physically better than he shows but with quirks that need ironing out.

Jimmy Elder a bit smaller all round than TEDCom andsome sort of late OR60s to OR70 type. Proventi smaller and lesser than that and runs too freely so does not even show the ability he has.
