SUMMARY
G from SGS two days prior. Going Stick from 06:30 am. Races using Inner Home Track so actual race distance is 6f 215yds. Course has only run 2 x '7f' races for 2yos since 2007 (July in 2009/10) and these both over an equivalent 7.1f so time not easy to compare. This a new 7f race and has been 6f maiden in previous years. Stiff ESE Wind = Direct Tailwind in Home Straight = Last 4 furlongs.

Glory Awaits finally showing the ability his size and some circumstantials have suggested. Too green and fizzy to run a race FTO with Spencer riding. The jockey again riding at Ripon STO and GA failed to handle the undulations on that course and having the over-reactive Spencer on board made this worse. Horse got balanced briefly around hanlfway and travelling ok to the pace then. But unbalanced inside the last 2F and Spencer packed it in early as he often does. GA ridden by a less 'Drama Queen' jockey here and looked to have grown up mentally. Attened the usable pace ok and able to produce a solid effort in the straight. OR80+.

Letstalkaboutthemoney back after a long break, up 2F to 7f, and equipped with a visor and an A3. Had looked a good type to follow FTO and easy to make excuses for the effort there alhough the Visor perhaps suggested the poblems on debut were not wholly external. Strong effort here in the straight and might have won but for the A3 taking some time to stop him rolling onto Luhaif inside the last 0.5f, Some jockeys might not have bothered since that one was starting to fade and just got on with getting past the leader. Ok for OR80+.

Luhaif smaller than the first two and perhaps late OR70s. Had taken time to get going then shown a strong effort and appearing to see the race off solidly. Had to switch away from the rail and showed the same forward effort to challenge between the first two 0.5F out but then fading and not seeing the full 7F out.

Mysterial held up off a front 3 who made solid efforts off a usable pace and had a tailwind behind them in the finish. Ok effort in the last 2F to think he is Open Maiden level but not showing anything to confirm the high view Hannon had of him in early season. Mowhoob given a peculiarly non-involving ride by Buick and fully 10L back at halfway. Never put in the race with a chance.

Haverstock smaller and neat one by his sire and blown away by the first 3 after being allowed a comfortable lead. Hard to see him winning at Open Maiden level. Pearl Spice a big, clueless yobbo on debut. Bucking and clowning around TP. Had his own handler AP to look after him and equipped with a blanket for stalls entry. Clueless in the race. As an early 7f runner for the trainer there is a high chance he is usable and a 2yo winner. Ok size and lots of visible reasons for the bad run here. Type that could improve notably STO and perhaps be each-way value.
