SUMMARY

£10k Bonus Race.

GSS from GS by Meeting time with 10mm of rain Fri morning. Showers and up to a further 7mm during afternoon. GS from GSG two days prior. 8.4mm of rain overnight. Showers forecast before and through the race meeting and up to 7mm rain. Going Stick = 06:00am.

Medium to Stiff Southerly Wind = Direct Tailwind.

Fahey Jockeys = Hanagan (Flyman), Hamilton (Sandsend) & Nolan (Tanghan).

Very Slow Time and the only 3 slower go back to pre-Drainage work days in 2004-5 and 2008. Another race at the course which fell apart early and extended distances between the runners at the finish. Hints of a far side bias (see notes for maiden at the course the next day - Sat) as usual but handling the going very important and having to chase a pace when not handling it would certainly mean and early fade. First three home all ran on Far Side of group here around Centre track but quite possible they were the best three horses on the day. Tough Lady never going on the day and Sandsend perhps the one racing towards the stands side of the group with more to show.

With the usual caveats about the the time and the conditions a good debut by Flyman setting the stiff pace and seeing off Prince Regal (another Jarvis fizzy type who has regressed from an ok debut this year). Then a lull but able to respond toe the placed horses closing up to him running on the wider strip and put in another effort and see them off. Bigger type and straight mover. Seems ok for OR80+.

Tanghan gor behind then staying on as the fading started from 1.5F out to challenge. OK OR70s but see how he goes in more normal conditions first. Shrimpton perhaps a usable 'Marker' horse here as below Open Miden level and smaller types who gets outpaced but a trier who lugs on so usually gives her performance level.
