SUMMARY
GSG having been GS the previous day. Continued Dry weather from before Meeting Start. Going Stick reading from 08:00am and 8.9 Centre Track compared to 8.3 for Tues pair of races. Reading for wings are 8.7 Stands' Side & 8.8 Far Side. Previous days two races saw wide spread fields but across Centre track and NOT running on either side bar one lone stands' side runner. Did not appear much bias between Centre strip and Centre-Stands Side (where both winners finished).

Medium ESE Wind = Three -Quarter Tailwind from the Left. Compared to a similar strength Headwind the previous day (Tue).

Report of Dascombe interview = "It's great not just for me but for Andrew Black (owner) who bred her as well. Richard Kingscote was fantastic. He didn't exactly pick her, she was picked for him, but he was pretty confident. She's as hard as nails. The other filly (Upward Spiral) has run brilliant it's just that there was nothing fast enough this side to lead her. I think Upward Spiral is the better horse but just not today. This is all about Andrew Black, he's been an amazing support to me and to get a winner here for him is amazing. She's now won a Listed race and a Group Two so it doesn't really matter what we do, but we'll have to give six furlongs a go now."

Field split into Two Groups far side of Centre Line and Stands Side of it. Field spread out in later race with Stands Side group staying more together but Centre runners spreading out and Far Side group including those that got right across to the Far Rail with the held up Baileys Jubilee cut-off there when making some progress (as in the Windsor Castle the Johnston stable seemed to be making some effort to not have their runners blasting along in from and fading early). Ceiling Kitty confirming the view of her progression from York in that she was again able to sit close behind a stiff pace travelling well and produce a kick off it. She was 3rd overall to halfway sitting 2L+ behind All Fur Coat and almost 1L behind Madam Mojito who went off too hard on their side. CK probably just ahead of Lady Phill who was leading the Stands' side Group by around 1L. Hoyam held up by a typical Spencer ride and around 8L off the lead and 6L off CK. Hoyam produced her finish down a 'Magic Strip' which seemed to produce a lot of Closers during the week. Hairy Rocket about 1.5L behind Lady Phill and 2L behind CK towards halfway. Other than Hoyam's closing effort the leaders owards halfway that handled the pace kept reasonably static relative positions suggesting a usable pace aside from AFCoat and perhaps Madam Mojito and a question over why Hoyam was the only ral closer? All her ability or other reasons?
