SUMMARY

GS from GF two days prior. 5mm of rain during day and the Meeting the previous evening. Dry overnight and mostly dry forecast on the day. Going Stick reading from 07:30am. Strong Sw Wind = Crosswind from the Right.

Zarooni jockeys = Barzalona (Chesterfield), Spencer (High Force) & A5 Murgia (Top Joker).

Stalls Stands' Side and Field raced Centre. Slow Pace and Line-of-6 at halfway jogging along in a Photo Finish with only Royal Challis and High Force starting to be niggled along a bit. Chesterfield a bit green and 1L+ behind that Line and a little niggled through stupidity with Top Joker about 2L behind the leader and going Ok. Two niggled in Line on Centre to Far side. Two in Behind on Centre to Stands' Side of Group.

All but HBosch & YMountain left in stalls while Shebebi cantered loose and took a few minutes to be caught at the dead end beyond the finish.

Efforts started before 2F out and given conditions over 7f perhaps a solid test as the change in Halfway positions suggest. Chesterfield took a long time to get going and 5th and probably further off lead than at halfway. But, strong finish and going at well at the end and going like he would stay a lot further. Top Joker ran differently producing a better effort 2F out to go past Chesterfield and engage YM. Looked the likely winner until a late fade versus Chesterfield finsing full gear. Makafeh the worst puller and a solid effort at 2f out given that.
