SUMMARY
 £10k Bonus Race.

Going Sick from 16:15pm. Medium to Light SSW Wind = Mostly Crosswind from the Left, Slight Headwind.

Hills website July 2nd = "It's always a relief when two year olds who have been showing up nicely at home do the same thing on the racecourse, and in the case of Just The Judge and Reyaadah that's what happened. They've worked together a couple of times and gone equally well, so once Just The Judge had won at Newbury we were hopeful Reyaadah would do the same. They're both fillies who have plenty of physical scope and we will see how they are over the next couple of weeks before committing them to their next races."

Very slow Pace early with Califante in the lead on sufferance held. All others trying to drop in and Johnston's Upper Echelon ended up in the lead but setting a slow pace. Laid back race seemed to spread to later race and final efforts did not start unil almost 1.5F out and a short sprint at the end of the race.

Despite that the best two fillies managed to get to the front and beat a couple of STO and probably OR70s fillies in doing it to give a believable shape to the result. First two home more substantially built fillies than the 3rd & 4th and OR80+ and Just The Judge did well to get through from well back and going on well at the finish. probably OR90+ and better type. Pompeia held up when trying to start her final effort so value for a bit better effort.

Race winner in 2010 & 2011 went on to 2yo Group win and 2009 edition had a 2yo Group winner in 6th. Just The Judge appeals as a better type and notably professional to make the best of herself.

Check how Upper Echelon develops as an 8f+ stayer. Taller and leggier type and not suited to the sprint here. Dam has not produced a 2yo winner yet.
