SUMMARY
 Testing consitions and slow time. Far Rail perhaps an advantage. Mixed pace race with first 1.5f contested at the front to establish positions prominent and near rail. Settled after 1.5f. As with the first race on card those prominent and handling the conditions pulled clear from the Garbage and those not handling the going but a difference here with two interesting 'Closing Runs' wider out.

Secret Destinationrated OR74 woming into this and that perhps a 'Northern OR74' and a peak for SD who lacks scope and may struggle to compete at that level generally although has shown she handles Soft and Fibresand well. A less than polished effort here and getting unblanced and hanging at times.

Rockt Two green overall and racing wide of the rail which was a probable negative. Took time to get going and closing ont he winner at the line. Presume a slightly better type in the long term. 8th debut of year for Dods and first 3 produced 1 winner and 2 x unplaced. Next 5 now produced 2 wins and 3 places. Stable's 2yos tend not to be mentally sharp but being able to see out the full distance through fitness seems a trademaek as was the case here. Perhaps a reason for the lower progression from debut wince the fitness is there and the nous only needs to be improved.

Dark Opal seemed to confirm promise of his 5f debut here although fading again. Probably competitive OR60s.

Bachotheque ridden by jockey Tudhope who had ridden Blue Lotus to win for Easterby in forst race. Eaves on Team Challenge. Ok size horse and travelled pretty well in context to 2F out which encouraged he jockey to switch left to centre to find room to make an effort. Ok effort until fading 1f out. Jockey in interview said he had een toled Bachotheque was an ok big hors but perhaps a bit weak and more a back-end and 3yo type. Ok promise here in how he travelled at 2f out if he does strengthemn up. One to track.

Marhaba Malayeen apparently green and driven along on debt. Givena 'Bad Horse' ride here and driven from the start as if he needed to be forced to get involved. Which meant he went too hard and faded early and not looking on board with the racehorse thing.

Team Challenge a lesser version of the 'Bad Horse' ride to less effect.

Birdy Boy probably the best physical type and some promise FTO but a bad fade and not untypical for a Johnston FTO. Drawn wide here and raced widest and perhaps a disadvanatge. But, folded early and completely in a manner which needed excusing if he is to reach his potential. Almost looked like something physically wrong given how fast he stopped. But, of some interest because a better physical type than his form reads and hopefully better on faster going.
