Strong SSW Wind = Three-Quarter Headwind from the Left.

Maxentius quite impressive in stalking the other 3 and always going best. Almost got shut in a 4-Horse race (as jockey Buick ruefully pointed out afterwards) but always going to pick up well enough when the gap came on the rail. Bigger type of sire and with good range and movement. Trainer Hyam morose as usual but said he was impressed by it and would try him in the 7f Group 2 Superlative Stakes at the NMKJ July meeting next to test where his top end might be.
