SUMMARY
3mm of watering previous day (on a Day when Leicester was abandoned and Newcastle abandoned after 4 races). Going Stick apparently from 13:00pm Thur. 8.3 Stands Side and 7.4 Far Side = surely you should come over to the Stands' Rail in the round course.

Strong SW Wind = Half Tailwind from the Right.

Rail Bias on Day.

Defeat for The Sixties another example of over-rated Royal Ascot form unravelling later? The Chesham Stakes did not look a strong race and The Sixties prominent run setting a slow pace there worth what in reality?

Faster time helped by tailwind and a comfortable win for Senafe. Looked an improved effort by her of the type that means she should go well in a nursery NTO if not too far over OR70. 3TO win for Botti and indicator of how his 2yos develop with racing now. Filly too green FTO and then pressed a pace STO and not get home over 6f on a stiff track. Comfortable lead here over 7f. But, a mild caveat over whether the comfort of the win reflected how the race fell apart behind her and the time misleading? Moved through race like an improved effort by a horse going forward whatever.

Super Simon niggled along from early on and whip in use by halfway. Never travelling smoothly and looking pained. First time on GF which would seem a probably reason. Never faded but plugging on for a lot of pressure in the last 1F to get to second still looking unenthusuastic. Which means Senafe might not have had much to beat.

The Sixties entered in a seller before the Chesham run and while Channon has done that with solid horses over the years the majority end up OR72 and under. Ran a bit too free early but a moderate effort at 2F out and another looking at the ground as a needed excuse if he is not back to sellers at some point to boost his sire's win tally.

Rio Cato green but typically given a non-involving ride for the trainer. On the small side so check STO but no likely interest. Double Jeopardy also green and a bit more size. Might have something better than her profile so check STO. But with a trainer who has not had a 2yo winner for ages. >b>Lawful 4th FTO by racing prominently in slow race and suspect promise. That race has produced later winners spread through the field to show how the abilities got mixed. Blinkers FT here and ran too free early and fought the jockey and found nothing at 2F out. Looks like another with an issue beyond ability level in a race 'falling apart' behind the winner.

Age Of Bronze given a peculiar ride. A bit green and slow to get started and taken to race centre track widest. Jocky did nothing as he started to lose ground 3F outand then eased him early. Did not make a WTRB report. AOB declared for a seller a week later with that race abandoned but he had been declared an NR for SHV going before the abandonment. Perhaps OR60s on size so the ride and the Seller race and indication of an issue with the horse? Attitude or physical that had shown up at home.

Then all four tyres fell out sideways and there was a hiss of the final steam being released......
