SUMMARY
Stiff Southerly Wind = Half Headwind From Left in Back Straight, Mostly Headwind around the Bend and Half Tailwind from Right in the Home Straight.

Easily explainable race in Review terms where the two bigger ones who look OR70s racing 1st & 2nd and kicking away from the Garbage in the straight to fight it out between them.

Oasis Cannes a slow learner and still green and thinking about it in the straight here. Took time to really get going and racing with his head on one side. But once alongside Kalicamix towards the last 0.5f he changed his legs and seemed to be going on as astrongly at the finish as at any time. Ok size if not that neatly made and weaker front. Less powerful than the runner-up but more efficient mover and attitude. OR70s on looks but the way he finished perhaps suggests the trainer can squeeze a bit higher over 8f+?

Kalicamix a bit bigger and more powerful than the winner and stronger in front. Has been entered in a seller which seems odd given his size. But, an inefficient mover with a high pounding action in front and legs going sideways too much. Added to that by racing a it too enthusiastically here. But, produced a better kick than the winner into the straight and only worn down late as he started to stall and fade. OR70s if below Open Maiden level and needs to settle down although probably not able to improve his action.

Garbage Gap behind them and Aseela a small and underpowered one and perhaps not even OR60s usable. Her Review here putting the LEIC debut run into better context with a slow pace then meaning the abilities got mixed up. Worth recording here that ATR have gone for a revamp and part of that now means two Pundits sitting in the shiny new Studio talking over pictures rather than one in a booth reading e-mails from his mates. On the positive side they have shown more paddock pictures and Horses in general (rather than Market prices, Bookies narks and Adverts). On the negative side the Studio Twosome means even more Pundit Lite piffle being drawn gossamer thin to try to fill the Airtime. The lack of and structure and allowing the pundits to waffle about anything shining through. The performance by Weaver & Martin Kelly before this race toe-curlingly awful. Grasping for anything to fill space. Classic piece from Weaver when Aseela was in a Paddock shot saying how close she had got to Jalaa at LEIC and how she might be good enough. Unfortunately that was voiced over a picture of a small and underpowered young filly trudging around the Parade Ring and clearly she was going to get blown away by one or both of the bigger males. As she was by 5-6L when left behind by the efforts. Grisly stuff. ATR.... put some real structure into the Pundit waffle, it will actually make things easier. Note 1 = 'Form Franking' refers to horses you finished in front of, or perhaps with, in a truely run race. Not those you were behind in a slow one. Tell your Pundits to cut out the 'not far behind Someting Ok LTO' drivel.

Just A Pound another underpowered one and perhaps OR50s. Kingsville smaller medium and a bit more build but perhaps OR60s and flawed anyway. Seems part bonkers. Fizzy attitude and green and races with his head held up in an odd way which seems to make it hard for the jockey to ride and communicate with him in any real way. Also means Kingsville gets unbalanced at times. Bitter Ale still owned by the trainer and why does nearly everything he buys have to be the same shape? Another compact and neatly made one and very well turned out but lacking any range or size and moving scratchily. Add on a jockey who was mostly immobile and BA trundles round adrift before being eased. Trying buying a few of a different shape, ever a flawed mover like Kalicamix? (Trainer Cole likes an entirely different type to McCabe and gets a lot of bigger, boaty, masculine ones of varaible ability but at least they have some size and range even if they have some othe rissues. Bitter Ale is in a limited ability box lacking scope before he starts.
