SUMMARY

£10k Bonus Race.

SHV as it had been two days prior. Rain forecast on the day before racing. Going Stick Reading = 09:30am.

Stiff WSW Wind = Three-Quarter Tailwind from the Right. Rail Out by 9yds at 6f Start narrowing down to 1yd at the Finishing Line.

Weak race behind the winner with Dust Whirl still running like something was hurting him and not picking up at 2F out and a little head up. Well below his early season places again. Lucky Beggar has proved a typical Hills' stable 'character'. Early start in season but taking time to win and has an OR79 into this race which is the low end of what that type usually gets. Settled better here, handled the ground well despite being an NR earlier in the year for the same going desription and looked an ok effort. This type often improve a bit mid season and if he can race settled NTO LB seems likely to be very competitive off his OR.

No interest in the others beyond checking whether DW shows signs of coming back to full form.
