SUMMARY
 Soft as it had been two days prior. 5.5mm of rain on Thu. Showers forecast for the day. Going Stick Reading = 16:00.

Medium NE Wind = Crosswind from the Left.

Hannon after the race = "Mystical Moment's previous experience probably tilted the scales in our favour up at Newmarket, and she made it third time lucky in the fillies maiden, though I was equally pleased with Heading North, who got the hang of things late on and finished well in third."

Stalls Centre, field raced Centre. MMoment got an Easy Lead with Nargys always clear second but FFH iin first half of race as Fallon trying to get her to settle. MM settled well in lead. Nargys challenged MM at 2f out and paired duelled with MM always just on top and Nargys failed to stay in the last 1f. MM taller and rangy and stretcher in movement.

MM & Nargys advantage of best placed for 2F+ sprint but opened up gaps to others and seemed to be making stronger efforts. Nest five home made up of a mix of 2Rs who made lesser efforts at 2F out than the front pair mixed in with two fillies that closed up by 3-5L on them. Heading North a smaller one and did a lot wrong but seemed to make an ok effort when getting going . Lost ground at the start, ran a bit too free, hung left when asked to pick up but made forawrd effort to 4th by 1F out (any adv of racing Far Side on her own after hanging left?). Hannon 2nd string but ought to be ok for OR75ish on this or is the whole race behind the front pair suspect? OCDarling in front of HN when the sprint started and took longer to get going. Got to 4th by plugging on late in the last 1F past faders rather than the forward effort HN made. Suggest that HN the readier 7f type now and perhaps lacking scope (the type Hannon sends to KTNA?) and perhaps OCD an 8f+ development stayer?

Willowing stood out behind front two as the other better physical type. Ran a bit freely and then seemed unbalanced for most of the last 3F and not really picking up and roling around. On review grounds ought to be OR75+ and the movement problems here perhaps the Soft going? Not looking that fit on the day and a bit green overall. Thrwoing her head AP and not focussed. Improve more than typical for stable STO?
