SUMMARY
Going GSG from GS 2 days before. Going Stick reading from 07:30am. Medium Easterly Wind which is nearly a Direct Tailwind for the race.

Moderate form off an average pace and a messy race in the last 1.5F with JG switching right from 2R behind the leaders and hampering MTB and bumping SP. Just after this DL started hanging left of his own makiing and bumped into the rail and got unbalanced before responding. 4 of the field bumping together or into the furniture with MPA already fading and PP too green to get involved.

Jubilee Games not travel that smoothly on debut on slower ground but looked better here on a flat track sitting behind lesser types. Ok finihs once clear but the OR68-72 range looks likely.

Dil Laney had the profile to be a minor development winner. But trainer has not had a winner before 3TO yet with a 2yo and a 'good' debut seems the 4-6th range. The second here probably partly caused by the small and limited quality field. Probably some nod towards the syndicate owners and a bit readier than his average. Ok finish after losing concentration as the leader folded to 1F out and bumping the rail. Seems to fit the profile and a winner of some sort in OR60s but slightly lesser type than JG.

Sylvia Pankhurst a good example of how 'promise' in one race type does not always transfer. Held up off a stiff and contested pace on debut at Ripon and found herself looking like she was finishing strongly despite being hampered trying to get through the faders. Another take would be that she was trundling into dead horses and the ' strong finish' an illusion to some extent and the overall slow tim fro the race a hint that it was not that good. Raced centre here which was a probable disadvantage of some sort. But, sitting within 2L of the lead at halfway and unable to raise the pace to go with the first two. OR62?

Miss Penny Arcade small but ready sprinter and had shown more natural pace than JG when leading him in their debut race. Similar here and travelled ok in the lead but setting an average pace. A short runner and still fading despite that. Size and lack of scope to develop.

Moss The Boss still off some minor interest. Faded badly on debut after taking off with his jockey from a wide draw at Beveley on bad ground. Refused to be settled in behind early and gave the jockey an uncomfortable time bumping into the backs of the others. Switched out to centre and still going better than some of those in front of him inside the last 2F. Just nosing towards a gap between SP & DL arounf 1.5F out when JG jumped right and barged him out of it. Not strong 'Eyecatcher' material but a horse with a bit more ability than the 2-D form book relates.

Trainer Foster seems to have gone out and bought some small ready types for no money and got them ready to go early this year. One debut winner and an ok placer from the previous 2 to run. Pastoral Prey another in the same mould and might be OR55-61 usable. But, too green and stupid to figure here although the slower pace allowed him to still be on the back of the group into the last 1F. Another where size and lack of scope to develop is a real issue.
