SUMMARY
GGS from GSG two days prior. 16mm rain on Sat, 7mm of rain Sun then dry to Tues AM. Going Stick reading from 05:45am.

Medium WSW Wind = Quarter Tailwind from the Left.

Pace too Strong with Moviesta sweating AP and running too freely and strectching the field before halfway and final efforts starting for many before Hf or not long after. In context a good effort from Moviesta to break the others who tried to race with him before 2F out, spread the garbage out early and then still be able to produce a response to the winner when headed before fading. Needs to settle down but ok type. Another trainer Smart horse that runs too freely.

Melody Of Love travelled best and the one able to sit ok in 2R and then produce a forward move. Did that better than just picking up tired horses and still going forward at the finish. Type the trainer tends to find another win for.

Check Melody Of Love's debut run here in a big field and the promise is obvious in hindsight (and watching the run properly with the time to). Runs a similar race in some ways with a good break in centre and then held back by the jockey who looks to tack over to the Stands' Rail. Unable to do that and jockey then lets her drift back to midfield in the stands' side group and effectively out of the race. Travels ok though and able to get from midfield in her group to second with her 'effort' (more just her own pace), with Rosdhu Queen already gone up the rail. Jockey decides that is enough by 1F out and lets her drift him. Probably could have got placed and more forward into the Far Side 4 if pressed at all.
