Hannon jnr. on May 15th wrt Citius = "...he was unlucky at Kempton as he was coming to win his race when a couple of blackbirds emerged from nowhere and flew right in front of him". That should probably be 'birds that were black' rather than 'blackbirds'. Bit large for blackbirds.
