SUMMARY

GGF from G two days prior. 1mm of rain in previous 24 hrs to early morning. Going Stick reading from 09:00am.

Rails all in and distance as advertised.

Medium to Stiff WSW Wind = Crosswind from Left in Home Straight, Tailwind mostly through mid-race.

Classic CHES race shape on Faster conditions. Mandly Layla well ridden to go to the lead ont he rail for smalle effort and then race settled. Allowed to control the pace and not hassled so able to delay final effort until last 1.5f off a usable pace. With Dream Vale hauled to back early then losing ground the other six raced in 2 x Echelons of 3 off the rail with 1-2-3 through halfway on rail to 2Wd and 4--5-6 the same. With second echelon getting well back while they sorted themselves out the race resolved to MLayla having to hold off two rivals who had raced wide of her and the two better types in the second echelon trying to make ground on horses not stopping and taking until late on to get into the back of them having run further and given them a headstart.
