SUMMARY

£10k Bonus Race.

GF as it was two days prior. 6mm of watering after racing the previous evening. Going Stick reading from 09:30am.

Medium to Stiff WSW Wind = Quarter Tailwind From Right.

Stalls Far Side with field splitting into two with main group Centre to Far Side and three going over to stands rail. Zanetto a fierce puller in previous races and attempts to drop him in and settle not successful. Dropped back top 6f here and allowed to lead and settled better although still 'enthusiastic'. Allowed a soft lead and turned race in a mild TT and saw race out as he had at EPSM over 7f despite pulling too hard.

Dumbarton Rock Breeze shows short and heavy type of sire. But also shows DB holding his head tight and not moving it correctly and a forced and inefficient movement overall. Debut run here looked similar. Broke slowly and a bit green. But losing ground early with his head held to the right in a fixed position and offering to hang left. Runs like something is pinching him or, probably worse, that is the shape he makes naturally. Needs fixing either way.
