SUMMARY

Light to Medium WSW Wind = Crosswind From Right Back Straight, from Left Home Straight & a varying Headwind around the Bend.

Zarooni Jockeys = Barzalona (RT), De Sousa (COR) & A5 Murgia (ST).

Classic Second String race but Market at least hinted that it really had little idea about which was best. Race Shape conspired to assist Cap O'Rushes who got to a soft lead on the rail by pulling too hard early on as the field jogged along. But, settled int he lead, railed well and a strong finish for a clear win. Race conspired against Ravens Tower who found himself hung out wide around the bend. But under pressure soon after halfway and an early fold in the straight. Hard to imagine he would have matched COR even if he had run in 2R near the rail. COR a better type in review anyway. RT worth another chance to see whether he is fixed STO.

Arctic Admiral only one to try to match winner and getting the worst of the duel inside the last 2F but well clear of the 3rd. Hung left before 1F out and eased inside the last 1F. Hung onto 2nd despite being eased solidly to indicate the lack of promise behind. And lack of any jockeys behind really wanting to get too close to the first two for handicap purposes.

Several meetings now since track reworked and new material added and seems a bit faster now than in the early meetings and horses more able to finish races off.
