SUMMARY

GFF by race time in later afternoon. GF as it had been two days prior. Watering as 5mm on Mon & 4mm on Tue. Going Stick reading 09:00am.

Stiff WSW Wind = Mostly Crosswind from Left, Slight Tailwind.

Magic Carpet strip next to rail seemed to be back for this meeting. Not abvious in earlier meetings with a lot of soft ground. Current theory is that the heavy boom watering system the course uses produces th Strip. The boom runs on big tractor tires and spans the whole course width. The tyres therefore run along either rail with the watering metal girder spanning between then above head height. Warmer weather for last 2-3 weeks and course presumably started doing some watering. Spithead running the rail here and never stopped.
