SUMMARY
£10k Bonus Race.

SHV on day from SGS 2 days prior. Going Stick reading from 08:00am. Stiff to Strong Westerly Wind = Three-Quarter Headwind.

Race Divided as part of a 'Contingency Plan' by Ascot to ensure a Card with at least 6 races on the straight course. The racecourse felt the Round Course was unlikely to be raceable so needed to produce 6 races to be able to run a meeting under BHA rules. But, with this split producing a 5 & 4 runner race and another of a handicap of 6 & 5 runners, before any NRs, you wonder whether this is sensible. Move the meeting to another venue and run some proper field races. Since the likelihood of the Round Course being raceable was always very low why not produce some NEW races at ot before the 5 day stage? Rather than cobbling this together for people who have paid a lot of money to be there.

Stalls Centre and field raced Centre. Slower Pace and 2F sprint at the finish. Graphic Guest did a fair bit wrong in the first half of the race, slow break then running too freely when restrained having got quickly back to the leading line, but able to produce strongest and balanced finishing effort anyway.
