SUMMARY

Good from GF two days prior and GFG previous day after 6mm of rain on Thu and 2.6mm in am. Going Stick reading from 07:30am reported as 7.1 Stands, 7.3 Centre and 7.2 Far Side = where does the overall figure reported of 7.4 come from in that?

Light to Medium SE Wind = Half Tailwind From Right.

Sectional times Per Furlong for Whole Field were :-

1st 1f = 14.10s
2nd 1f = 10.72s
3rd 1f = 10.90s
4th 1f = 11.36s
5th 1f = 11.74s
6th 1f = 12.55s

Note how the Sectional times are entirely different Shape to earlier Gimcrack Stakes. This field raced more Cent-FrSd while the Gimcrack field Cent-StdsSd. This race a much stronger pace with each of the first 3F quicker than the Gimcrack and 1.41s quicker by Halfway. Overall time still 0.43s faster despite losing time in each of the last 3F compared to the Gimcarck. More Fading in this race and the first 3 pulling clear together with Majestic Moon plugging on to head the remainder having got well behind after a slow start because of rearing in the stalls and then stumbling, perhaps bucking, early on and ending up last.
