Raining heavily during this race which was the first of the Meeting. Course persisting with the GGF going then changed that to SOFT in one go after this race run. Laughable. GGF from GFF two days prior. 1.8mm of rain overnight and 0.5mm by mid-morning. Reports of 5mm of watering but no Date given. Going Stick reading from 12:30pm.

Rail out by 10yds at 6F start narrowing down to 2yds out by Finishing Line.

Medium WSW Wind = Direct Tailwind to Intersection, Three-Quarter Tailwind from Right afterwards.

Pair raced 6-7 Lanes off the rail. Jockey on DWD half though of going wider in the last 2.5F but dropped tha idea with AD making his challenge soon after on the Stands' Side of DWD.
