SUMMARY
Heavy rain through meeting and Going changed to HV after race 4. This was race 4. SHV from GGS two days prior. 17mm of rain on Saturday and 2.5mm overnight. Heavy rain forecast from mid-Morning before racing. Going Stick Reading From 06:30am.

Strong Southerly Wind = almost a Direct Headwind. Testing conditions and a slow time.

Laughably weak race on profile with the 4 runners with previous 'form' all having negative Profile ratings. Which meant the vaguely 'okish' newcomers end up at short prices no matter how good they were. Any race with a Morrison runner as forecast favourite means either a very weak event or a Group winner. Reveille more just a bit of straw clutching in a weak event. Some quotes about her from Morrison in early season = "Small, mentally immature, wont take long to get ready once she learns a bit [because small]...". That's the forecast favourite he was talikng about. Some excuse with rain through meeting but this race run 2.23s slower than the preceding males' maiden which was a pretty thin affair in itself. Not typical 'FTO' tests.

Some interst in Black Eyed Girl for a development project. Probably the biggest here and ran much too freely in the first half of the race even for normal conditions.
