GF as it had been two days prior. 6mm of wayering on Sun, 8mm on Mon & 5mm on Tues. Going Stick reading from 09:30am. Any increased Rail Bias with increased watering? Medium to Stiff Northerly Wind = Direct Headwind. Not an easy race to judge Rail Bias with the field racing wide of the rail overall. Only the limited Poetic Belle racing on the rail of the prominent runners. Race most notable for some spectacularly non-involving 'Educational Intros' on a wide range of fillies including Stresa & Alnawiyah. Slowish pace, average at most, and only the jockeys on the first two home plus PBelle and perhaps Thiqa showing any interest in trying to compete for the win. Unedifying stuff. Of those 'quietly ridden' only Just Darcy racing on the rail and the others well wide, perhaps to assist the non-involvement if they were being clever. Always a vague possibility with some jockeys. |
