Going Stick reading from UPDATE (says 9.9 at 13:30am on Friday close to Meeting start).

Medium Southerly Wind = Quarter Tailwind from Right in Home Straight.

Silkelly given a slightly puzzling ride in the last 2f. Has run too freely before so being hauled back from the widest draw to sit on the outside of the bunch in midfield looking mostly settled and travelling ok a fair enough bit of work by the jockey. But sitting motionless inside the last 2F then partly pulling the horse up to let the first 4 home go clear and finish behind a self engineered gap looked odd. Perhaps this quote from the Syndicate owners website might expalin this jockey 'style' on the 3TO nursery qualifying run = "Silkelly will be entered for the race shown below [i.e, this one]. David really likes her and thinks she will make a very good miler in time. David is keen to get a handicap mark and thinks we will be winning plenty of races with her."
