Stiff SW Wind = Half Headwind from Right and different from the previous two days of slight tailwind.

Van Der Ber real Market confidence from a Hannon FTO and not just hopefulness. Different vibe apparent. Stable does try to get FTOs a bit readier for important owners with The Queen being the most notable. First season training for Hamdan Al maktoum this year and pre-Royal Ascot FTOs readier than typical. VDN a late season 6f debut for trainer, often fitter than their normal, and first runner for Dubai owner Saeed Manana. That owner seems to be working towards James Tate as his prime trainer to take over from the elderly, and under-talented, Clive Brittain.

Field raced Stands Side from Centre stalls after HC & VDN broke best from the lowest stalls then drifted across to the rail. Spencer a bit startled by being in the lead off a slick break from the stalls.
