£10k Bonus Race. HV as it had been two days prior. Going Stick reading from 09:00am. Rail Out by between 3-9yds. Race Distance increased by 37ys to 7f & 39yds. Stiff WNW Wind = Half Headwind from Left in Home Straight A jog around in the easy ground and no much more than a 1.5F sprint. Conditions perhaps testing enough to make pace more wearing than it looked with Lilbourne Eliza able to get past the leading pair in the last 0.5F. Storma Norma might well have got past or level with that pair as well but for going for a rail gap at the Cutaway towards the last 1F. This closed was the leading pair rolled left and jockey inactive afterwards having slowly switched to Centre to get a celar run but, presumably, deciding it was too late to bother. |
