SUMMARY
HV from SHV two days prior with 4mm of rain in 24hrs to early am and up to 4mm forecast for day. Racing had to pass an Early Morning Inspection and the original 3:10 race on the card abandoned. This race the 2:10 initially but put back 30mins to close the gap. Going Stick reading from 06:30am.

Rail out by 6 metres on Bend = Race Distance increased by 18yds. Home straight narrowed by 12 metres (which side?).

Stiff SSW Wind = Quarter Headwind from left in the Home Straight.

Very Slow time for the Extended 7F here even given the Going. Not helped by a slower pace but also by the peculiar Rails into the straight. Course so Narrow at that point that field Crossed to Stands' Rail in a few strides when normally the distance would make it seem odd to even try to switch to the Outer rail. Here it seemed natural,
