Light to Medium SW Wind = Direct Tailwind in Home Straight. Slow Pace and a slow time and difficult to make ground on any solid prominent racers. Several behind running very wide and read form with pace and race position factored in. Fading off this pace a bad sign. To make the point Sunblazer looking less good here and a laboured effort despite being 2nd and comfortably dealt with by Pinarius who got a very easy lead. Sunblazer seemed to run much better here LTO but that was a very different race. It had a strong pace and run in 2.4secs faster than this one with Sunblazer carrying 4lbs more there. Could make a case for Sunblazer being more of a stayer and not suited by a short sprint in the straight here. Pairumani Prince talked up a bit in early season and has had an interrupted career after a typical anonymous debut. NPIR on his second run after a long break and allowed to get behind here and always running widest and trying to make ground in Centre track in the Home Straight. Easy to think his return after the break is being targetted at preparing him for 4TO+ and his handicap career. |
