SUMMARY
6mm of rain before and uring racing and going changed to HV before this race. Soft as it had been two days prior. 3.5mm of rain Monday. Going Stick reading from 06:30am.

Medium to Stiff ENE Wind = Direct Tailwind on Ridge, Half Tailwind from Left Home Straight.

Previous two races crossed to Stands Rail by 2.5F out and first two home in each race either ont he rail or Lane 1. Might suggest a Bias or just that on ground that few horses really handling the leaders where able to get to the rail and a lot of both the fields struggling to keep up anyway. Subtlely different in this race. Firstly with a later cross to Stands Side. A notably deep and sloppy section around 2.5F out, bottom of dip, on the Stands Rail and a later move avoided this. First 4 home in a line at 1.5F out with Sublimation closest to the rail but probably still lane 3-4. Sesentum lane 8-9 but, on divots being cut and thrown, the ground there perhaps a bit better. Previous races cut and opened ground nearer Rail? Probable that Sesentum just the best horse anyway and showed more on debut than 10/1 here would suggest, once the greeness and race shape factored in. Neither Sublimation not Backstage Tour had shown real Average+ Open Maiden winner potential on previous runs. BTour not helping his chances of staying here, on a helpful downhill track, by pulling too hard early on in the race.
