Light to Medium ESE Wind = Half Tailwind from Right in Home Straight. Notably Fast Time and Course riding fast recently. Pace did not look that strong and most horses held in BS and two than XF'd to leading two positions into bend not working that hard to do so. Pace wound up around bend but apeared just average at halfway. So why the Fast Time and the first 6 home mostly made up of Deeper Closers? The fast time answer just seems to be Tamarkuz zipping clear before 1F out and winning by 6L which means most of field ran more Normal times. He showed his zip on the CS which is a slight niggle but clearly showing something different even if running on a bit of Magic Carpet. Leaving Tamarkuz out the others finished in a Heap with the prominent faders perhaps for a variety of reasons. First two at Halfway going a bit too hard and XFers, one off a long break and one at peak OR. Mystical Moment running wide, Lazarus Bell not handling bend and OR too high, etc. King Oliver off a usable OR and had a good run throught he race settled on the rail and did best of the prominent racers. Tamarkuz the 21st runner in Nurseries for Godolphin with the overall record of both trainers 7-21 with another 7 placed and a Profit overall. This win took Suroor's record to 4-5 with one place from 3 horses (I'm Back has 2 wins from 3 x Nurs outings). |
