SUMMARY

GS from GSG two days prior. Going Stick reading from 10:00am as 7.0 Stands & Centre, 7.2 Far Side.

Stands Side Course in use.

Medium WNW Wind = Close to Direct Tailwind.

Slower pace set by GA on the rail although increasing the pace by 2.5F+ out to extend the final efforts. Dificult to make ground and race set up for the best of the prominent racers near the rail in Trading Leather to hold off the Medium Closer Montiridge. The latter held up by Hughes and then got baulked as trying to make ground wide before 2F out. Smooth progress after to close up towards TL. Eye Of The Storm set and impossible task given the race shape and a poor ride by O'Brien. Held up well back and wide. Unbalanced in centre track when trying to make later progress and a solid effort by the horse to get to a Volunteer 3rd given the problems.
