Medium to Stiff SW Wind = Half Tailwind from Right in Home Straight.

Jockey Hughes interviewed after race and, typically, answered the question that was niggling away unprompted. In this case 'What happened last week at Nottingham?'. He volunteered that they had tried chasing a £10k bonus race at NOTT but had found the 5.1f too short and Pivotal Movement better in the 6f race here. Hughes rode 7 of of 8 winners on the card.

Field stayed stands side. Hughes in interview said that he much preferred racing stands rail and 'Hated' when fields went far side. He said that the jockeys had agreed they would stay stands side before the race in the changing rooms. Part of the reason being that with the course at full width it was a 'long way to go' far side. A lot sounding as if Hughes had initiated this discussion with the other jockeys and probably got his way.
