Medium to Stiff Southerly Wind = Three-Quarter Tailwind From Left in Home Straight. Prince Of Prophets another set-up by trainer Williams running well and could have won but for slow start although making ground running widest (CS?) although producing more effort than just staying on. Typical race otherwise over 5F here with prominent racing near the rail a big advantage normally. Modern Lady again having to got o AW to find 'firmer' going having been an NR 6 times for softer turf and ran poorly on it. Trainer Guest ahd two winners on day made up of his 1st & 3rd debut runner of year after a long development and typical in that sense. Modern Lady upholding the record of his first 2yo runner each year bein competitive if taking time to develop. Constant Dream ought to be competitive off OR50 and returning from a break after being a tearaway and then fighting being held up in previous runs so early fading. More settled here but not fully balanced around the tight bend and a bit head up. More of the same when pulled out to try to make a similar effort wide as PoP. Track development. |
