Light SSE Wind = Quarter Tailwind from Right in Home Straight. Broken Race and would vie for being one of the most Ragged of the season and probably Is the worst set of starts. Poor breaks and pick-ups then added to by the usual mix of tomorrow jockeyship to create a very long ragged tail. This set-up then exarcerbated by Pearl Noir making a quick break and tearing off in front and not settled chased by Ichimoku also pulling hard from a trainer who specialises in that. So, a slow time because of an overly fast pace and PNoir not finishing the race off and Work Ethic the only horse involved to run a vaguely competent race although a bit head-up once in lead. A race to set up for a good closer but such a ragged tail that nothing really close enough into the straight to close into the fading prominent runners. Golden Pursuit doing best of 'Closers' having appeared to be plain outpaced in the BS. Worth anything? Trainer Dixon had an unimpressive season overall after a solid start with his early runners ready on debut. That group not developed through season and has not shown an ability to 'Fix' problems like Pearl Noir who is better than his OR and form but needs to race settled. |
