SUMMARY

Light Northerly Wind = Close to Direct Headwind in Home Straight.

Mixed Pace with -1 to halfway but then winner took Lead after 3F out on Downhill and increased pace and 3L clear to Straight and effectively won race with that move. Manazel in Second colours ridden by Dane O'Neill but taking over from O'Shea, who rode Mazaaher, as second retainer to Hamdan at season end. Manazel a slow break at the rail but then O'Neill active to get him going and into 2R behind a slow pace and then more active 3F out. Mazaaher a slow break and pick-up from a wider draw and last early and then dropped in behind and effectively put out of race. Taken wide downhill but perhaps too green to make progress. But, then hung out wide into the straight.
