HV as it had been two days prior. 4mm of rain on Monday afternoon. Going Stick reading from 07:00am. Medium Westerly Wind = Crosswind from Right. Good example of how FTO wins do not always require the horse to have been 'tuned' for the debut. Mutashaded a slow start and green overall and niggled along at times. But plain bigger and stronger than the other four and the slower pace allowing him to learn as he went. Moved up to leading line by 2F out just on his own pace once organised. Floundered a bit when asked to make an effort to go clear so took time to get on top but pulling clear at the line although still learning. |
