- 1999, 16.1hh. Bred in the US by Hill 'N Dale Stud and owned by Mrs J. Magnier and trained by A. P. O'Brien in Ireland. His dam was a Grade 1 8-10f winner in Canada including their Oaks. Won 5 races from 7f-10f between 2yo to 4yo with one Group 1 victory in each season he raced. He is a first season sire in 2007.
- Won three from four starts as a juvenile with success in a 7f maiden followed by a second over 6f in the Group 3 Railway Stakes (at 12/1) as second string to Rock Of Gibraltar (1/2f). Back up to 7f to win his later starts in an Irish Group 2 and the Group 1 National Stakes (from Naheef).
- Ran 6 times at 3yo, only in Group 1 events, from 8f to 12f with a single win and four runner-up placings resulting. Began with what seemed an unlucky second in the 2000 Guineas to Rock Of Gibraltar by then as the stable first string and as 6/4 favourite. Followed that with a second in The Derby (as 9/4f, to stablemate High Chaparral) and a 10f Group 1 success in the Eclipse Stakes. Two more seconds as odd-on favourite preceded an unplaced run in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic on dirt.
- Two runs as a 4yo saw him start with a freakish performance in running away from a solid group of milers in the Lockinge Stakes. Handicappers and time figure producers struggled to assess that run which seemed just too unusually good. His final moderate run, as odds-on favourite, in the 8f Group 1 Queen Anne at Royal Ascot made their task more difficult. His overall race record gave his detractors reasons to try to label him with 'Morning Glory' and 'another soft son of Woodman' tags among others. However, while not the most consistent of horses (unlike his contemporary Rock Of Gibraltar), he did race over three seasons and produce high class performances in each one, with at least one outstanding effort.
- Retired to stand at Coolmore Stud in Ireland with his 2007 fee at €20,000 down by €2,500 from 2006. A large group of 105 yearlings were offered at major european sales with 81 selling on for an average of close to 58,000 guineas (median 41,000gns).
- 2005 to 2010 Wins List.
