 PICTURE
  • 1999 foal, 16.1hh. Cost 270,000 guineas as a yearling, owned by M Tabor and trained in Ireland by A. P. O'Brien. His dam was unraced and a full sister to two Irish Listed race winners. He won 10 races from 7f-12f between 2yo to 4yo.
  • As a juvenile placed over 7.5f on September 30th in an Irish maiden before winning a similar 7f event. Won the 8f Group 1 Racing Post Trophy on his third run as second string to his stablemate Castle Gandolfo.
  • Successful in five of his six runs at 3yo including The Derby, the Irish Derby and the Breeders' Cup Turf. Also placed in the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe. Won 3 from 4 at 4yo including the 10f Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes and a repeat victory in the Breeders' Cup Turf and again placed in the 'Arc'.
  • Retired to Coolmore Stud in Ireland with his 2007 fee at €20,000 and down from €25,000. 60 yearlings offered at major european sales in 2006 with 45 selling on at an average of 65,000 guineas (median of 42,000gns). First season sire in 2007.
