Background Information
PICTURE
  • 1995 foal and cost 100,000gns as a yearling. Trained by IA Balding winning seven races from 6f to 8.5f between 2yo to 5yo. As a juvenile won three from five when placed in 6f maiden (to Cape Verdi) on May 31st debut, thensuccessful in 6f & 7f conditions races in July and a French 7f Listed in August before being runner-up in an 8f Group 3 in France. Older Group 2 winner in France and at Group 3 level in Britain.
  • To stud in 2001 and an average start with his first two crops of British raced 2yos although with a much smaller group in 2005. Has got winners from 5f to 7f from May onwards and a solid record at 5f to 6f along with an above average debut run strike rate. Some better quality winners in his first crop in 2004 with Bond City (triple winner up to conditions level), Kamakiri (dual winner and Listed 7f winner at 3yo), Royal Island (Listed placed) and Transaction (nursery winner off OR87).
  • 27 yearlings sold in 2005 with the colts averaging over 20,000gns (median 16,000) and the fillies just over 6,000gns. 25 sold in 2006 for an average just over 10,000 guineas.
