SUMMARY
S as on Decs. GStick 09:00am

Inner HS in use & no mention of change to Race Distance this makes. But, CoC also reports = "Home bend moved out 5m, increasing round course distances by 13 yards."

9DegC. Light to Medium SW Wind = Close to Direct Headwind in HS.

Worth recording that Jimmy Fortune dropped his hands and lost 4th. His excuse is recorded in the SEnq text below. A good question would be why he started riding again just before the line when he realised Norab was staying on from well back. If he had tack problems and couldn't ride out then he should just have carried on with pulling up, surely? Perhaps he was more tired than the horse when he stopped riding.

Stewards' Enquiry text = "The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Jimmy Fortune, the rider of SAHARA DESERT (IRE), placed fifth, appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race they noted his explanation that SAHARA DESERT (IRE) was hanging badly left, which he reported at scales, and this had caused the bit to slip through the colt’s mouth."
