GGS after GS on Decs. Going Stick Reading 11:00am Strong SW Wind & 14DegC. Quarter Hdwd from L. Race Played out like an average Pace and little change between first 4 home in last 2F. Headwind looked strong and blustery & jks going pace to try to handle thwt. Stalls Centre but PPheeny drawn Stds side and hustled into lead after a slow start. Then started to Hang R with Wind & Jockey let her go across to rail by +1f. Centre group then came acorss to join her by +2f. MPR Website on Lexington Rose = Jan 1st "Brian reports her in great shape. She is a filly who really looks to please in her work at home. She looks particularly sharp and early and should be exactly what we bought her and hoped she would turn out to be ie a filly who will be racing early in her career racing in the early filly black type races that we ran Lily's Angel in. Brian says she reminds him a lot of her father Captain Gerrard, who he trained of course. This can only be a good sign. We couldn't be in a better place. She has a low median and as such races like the Weatherby's Super Sprint which we finished 2nd in in 2011 should be on this filly's agenda too. " Then Feb 9th = "Brian reports her in great shape. " Then "She will probably debut at Musselburgh on 31st March. It's where Bryan debuts all his good horses." So a question over why miss EDIN = Soft going? Looking back Smart's pre May Debuts seem to need to be Listed+ to win. MPR Website = Dec 11th 2012 = "Nick Bradley 'We went up to Musley Bank to see the four Middleham Park Racing yearlings canter up the gallops on Sunday December 9th. The Tagula filly most impressed me in her work at this stage, she has filled out nicely and reminds me of Strange Magic. I suspect she will be our first 2yo to run from the Fahey yard and perhaps our first from any of our yards. Tatlisu was our sharpest and earliest 2yo this time last year and he beat Hototo on debut in winning a Yearling Bonus'." Then Feb 13th = "I saw the Tagula filly work this week. She continues to suggest that she will be our earliest Richard Fahey 2yo runner this year. Due to the cold weather the fillies will not be rushed but we suspect we will know alot more about this filly in a month's time when her work is stepped up." |
