SUMMARY

GFG from GGF with Course 'Good' from 6f to 4.5f out. GStick 09:30am. 10mm Rain across Tue-Wed, 4mm Fri Night & 0.5mm Sat.

12DegC. Medium SSE Wind = 1/4 Tailwind from Right.

Rail Out by a Large Amount for entire ditance = Perhaps 1/4 to 1/3 of Width = matters given the hanging late on. Pace not that fierce for 1st 1.5f but seemed to stretch either side of Halfway with Art Official leading on rail and SFreOv. Attended by 4 others though halfway with those 5 clear of rest and well spread back. Intermath starting to make forwrd effort soon after half.

Hf to Final pos suggest pace poss 2 but probably a stiff 1 and 2nd-4th might have fought out finish and held on by 1L+ from Closers but for antics inside last 2f. Maj Crispies HgL from -2f and in mid-track of what left by rail out towards -1.5f and jockey elcting to stabilise there rather than try to go back. Culdaff had part followed him and in say Ln8-9-1.5f+ then Art Offical veered from Ln2-3 off FrRL to hang fully across track to StdsRL by-1f+ cutting up Culdaff & MajC along way. Intermath already 4th-1f on FrSd. ArtOff, Culdaff & MajC then rallied once organised and duelled on up stands rail with ArtOff fading Lt and headed.

Look to the Deep Closers & Intermath only made similar ground to CWells & TOrDare by Line & that set 1-2L more than MajJack. So Story looks partly too stiff a pace but exarcerbated by the 3 x experieinced horses losing 1-2L by hanging and hassling each other then ArtOff fading.
