GF as on Decs. Watering on Sun & Mon but no details. GStick = 11:30am Medium ESE Wind = Half Headwind from Right. Looked an Average Pace with Cascadia prob 3L back at Hf and not lookign that knowing or comfortable. But, a typical THSK race in many ways with the Lo3 at Hf all hanging left soon after and leaving rail wide open for 1st & 2nd home to make heavy work of getting through and past. Usable pace meant leading 3 able to raise some effort but did so early around 2.5F out and Hanging as a unit. SFNanny sitting in 2R bhd them able to make some progress & probably eventually led around -0.5f+ but also statring to hang left a bit and fading late. Which left Cascadia who had not been making any real Prg and taking time to pick-up finishing past tired horses late for a clear win going away. Interesting to re-run race with leaders delaying their efforts to inside-2f and only hanging mildly. Would Cascadia have been given the chance to beat up on dead horses before the line? |
