Unusually Fast going on day with Forecast, Widespread, Heavy Rain downgraded to possible Showers during day (didn't arrive) & significant rain across whole country only started late afternoon into the evening. Which left GF+ going of the type a Clerk of the Course wouldn't allow in these watering-happy days. This race a 2yo Course Record on the relaid track and even the 24f Gold Cup with a bunch finish saw a new record set.
