SUMMARY

GFG by Race Time. GF from GGF on Decs. 3mm of rain 24hrs to early am, showers forecast for day amounting to up to 5mm. GStick 06:30am.

Stalls Stand's Side. Main Flat course back in use after earlier meetings either transferred or run on NH track with no sprint races.

Field raced bunched near Stands Rail. Pace picking up with SAnthem & SOMalacca XFing +1.5f. Place played out like the leaders folding back (SA & SOM gone by-0.5f) & 'Closers' coming through to 1st, 2nd & 4th with SA hanging on best of the pressers keeping close to rail. QnCat travelling best well back and Cmf Prg through to lead and go Clear. Tanseeb shuffled back on rail by Hf & 2L back, able to po to moderate 2nd by swc to 2Wd and Vol 2nd lt. SMaller than JD. DRover slowest starter and -1L+ after 0.5f and DvOv. Able top po to 4th on outside without ever being in race.

SOMalacca running ok and poss Ok 75. Hanwoven ended up 3R rail after early barging with JQ and did not pick up ins-2f with any enthusiasm. Head up and thinking about and flinching as rolling towards fading JQ-1f+. Should have been in ok place to close given off pace. Looked more Att than lacking a bit of zip.

JQ did an awful lot wrong. Had her own handler AP and dismounted in front of stalls. Loaded first dismounted after a brief bit of pulling away. Jk on and handler stayed in stall with her. Running too free early as a line of 7 had to decide how to compact down to 2Wd line. JQ held by Jk and ended up pinballing between SA (gng fwd & unaffected) & Handwoven on her outside. 2-3 pairs of bumps & pinball before it settled down and shuffled back. Then JQ continued to run too freely to pull to 2R held and with her head held to right through whole race. When asked to pick up ins-2f modest effort and HdR and HgL, Jk eased her inside last 1f.

Fahey said before race TSOGrey in his 'A List' of 2yos but not look better type. Bright grey & Mdm and a bit toy. Very Green and racing on outside of grp throughout then hanging and looking even greener when 2F out efforts started and lost ground.
