SUMMARY

GF from GGF on Decs. 7mm of watering Thu-Fri overnight.

Stands Side HS in use = different to previous two days. This race 7f & 51yds (=7.2f) compared to previous days which was 6f 213yds. This race 58yds LONGER!

22DegC. Medium NW Wind = 3/4 Headwind from Right HS.

2nd Nursery & process yesterday with 1st very useful in tying down Est-OR diffs and looking at prev rc efforts & performance types. Settle for 45 as diff at present & need to uprate all Ests by 10-20. As usual, despite actively trying to not over-rate Mar-May+ races a lot are. What happens in June+ as number of individual 2yos who have run increases notably?

This a Class 3 but only 2 previous winners in race with tw a bit Suspect 78 & others 74 down & 3 in 60s. Not much of a Class 3. 7f race & none of field have run over the distance yet.

Tanseeb tw on OR78 & has string of efforts rated 22-29 with the 29 suspect. Shape of form alone suggests sub OR75 and just po when clear LTO. Use 28 as OR73 & look for btr in.
Culdaff OR74 & have looked smaller mdm dev project from start. Another where OR73 looks ok and 7f ok. Use 28.
Lilly Rules Improved effort LTO. Shape of Form suggest OR69-72 type. Ok staying effort LTO on stiff 6f. Another just ave competitive but 7f seems ok. use 26. Party Ruler back off Brk42 and up to 7f. Early form prob rated too high and a smaller type if flashy. Led & Fdd Lt last 2 runs which suggests will be overhauled in last 1F here if not before. Not appeal as much scope. OR72 & downgrade ealier from & treat as OR69 for test.
Jive On RPost est OR68 which looks usable. Improved effort LTO over easy 6f and 7f looks ok. Ran poorly here over 6f before that but pressing lead and SFFH. Seems low OR70s & relative OR68 ok here.
Then drop down to two low OR60s and 1st nursery had 3 of those 2 of which had poor form and/or suspect att. The other had never been put into a race and on bulk for small size managed to make OR62 usable in a race which relatively better types went too fast. Porteous on has late 50s [Est] even with over-rating and not really getting involved in big field sellers last 2 runs. Poor profile & use 12 as OR59. Mitcd miles more interesting. Got involved STO & Est 16+ & better than OR63 here. Given a blindingly obvious 3TO Nurs Set-up ride 3TO. Trnr had the low weighted winner of 1st Nurs & this seems to have a sl better profile. This isn't a Class 3 race and lackes previous winners or any with real scope so OR64 looks fine.

Pre-race Summary - Narrow spread of rtgs for compet ones and low weighted looks most interesting improver. Jive looks most int of tight knit OR70s ones. Jive 6/1 with Culdaff, Tanseeb & Party Ruler at shorter prices & Mitcd at 10/1 which both seem ok value.

RAF pre-race = "Mitcd is our runner at Haydock. She's a filly who is going to end up running over a mile-and-a-half before she retires to the paddocks. If she can hang onto them early ..... she'll be staying and fighting on at the finish. She tries very hard and you've always got a chance with horses like that but anything with speed will beat her in this. She'll be better at a mile this year."

Post Race Impressions, Mitcd just too small and prob OR50s so not able to make much progress before fading. Party Ruler looked bulkier after his break and poss ok on his OR. But, predictably, the Dascombe & MaJo pair did hook up to press each other on a bit too hard. But set race up for best of 2R rather than closers. Jive seemed to be going ok 2F out & perhaps a bit in a pocket but seemed unable to make much effort or progress when clear (check). = Jive a bit bgr than Culdaff on VT Pics but cut-up by XFrs BS & seemed to run freely in 2R until into Str. Just ord effort 2F out and prob not stay. Expect her back to 6f & prob ok compet off OR. Culdaff running more professionally in 2R and clearer run and did stay well. LRules outpaced on rail before 2F out as Kingscote wound pace on PR, again getting back inside last 1F to stay on well. PR poss not staying. Tanseeb fading very late but not stand out on VT pics & Rel OR78 here too high. Needs OR drop or less competitive group to win (or an easy lead). Porteous prob a bit bgr than Mitcd and Tv better in being bhd that onehim & making btr Prg wide in last 2.5F efforts.
